Grading criteria, deadlines, and the scale:

The first calendar day of the term is the first day of class. Students will have until the fifth day of the first week to complete their first discussion or assignment and are not allowed to post prior to the first week. All assignments and discussions will be due by 11:59 EST on the due day of the assignment or discussion. Make sure to understand your time zone. In this course, you will be graded each week on discussion posts, feedback of those discussion posts, assignments, and a final assignment at the end of the term. The Final Project assignment will be a 10 page response paper to the course objectives. Students will utilize course objectives to guide their expression of learned content in this term.  Students are required to submit one post per discussion assignment and respond to at least 1 peer within that same discussion assignment. Students will be required to attend the virtual group once weekly and submit a discussion response related to topics covered in the group. Grades will be returned by the 7th day of the following week. Time management is imperative and sometimes life just happens. In the event of an unforeseen circumstance, reach out to me via email and communicate the issue. Together, we can formulate a solution. Chronic late submissions and repeated requested submissions are at the discretion of the instructor and may or may not be granted. Remember to email instructor for questions, comments, or concerns about grades. Use the course name, your name, and student ID in your email.
